Questions About Botox

The Botox Cosmetic manufacturer generally recommends four units for each injection site. Most dermatologists administer between 10 and 50 units total depending on your needs and treatment history.

Botox treats fine lines and wrinkles by paralyzing the muscles, while fillers replace volume and fill in wrinkles.

Botox usually lasts 3-4 months, and as much as 6 months, depending on the number of units, and your lifestyle and age.

Botox typically takes 3 to 5 days to see results, and as much as 8 depending on the area of treatment. For example, the area between your eyebrows or crow’s feet take less time, while the forehead or frown lines may take up to 8 days.

No, Botox feels like a slight pinch or sting due to the small needles.

Visit our Botox treatment page for more information about the procedure, recovery time, and results.

Questions About Microneedling

Our microneedling pen creates hundreds of tiny skin punctures to stimulate the skin’s natural healing process.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure with little-to-no recovery time and is clinically proven to fight the appearance of neck wrinkles and reduce the appearance of scars.

Yes, microneedling uses single-use, sterile needle cartridges built for safety.

You should not use microneedling if you have open wounds, sores, or irritated skin in the treatment area, are pregnant or nursing, or are currently taking prescription drugs with the ingredient isotretinoin (like Accutane).

Check out our aesthetician services to learn more about Microneedling and related procedures.

Questions about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Yes, HRT is generally very safe and low risk if you’re under 60 and have menopausal symptoms. However, women starting HRT over the age of 60 are at increased risk of developing blood clots, stroke, and certain types of cancer, especially when taken for longer periods.

You should stop taking HRT once your menopausal symptoms go away. While the treatment duration varies from woman to woman, this is usually around two years after you start treatment.

Our hormone replacement therapy page also includes more in-depth information to learn more if the procedure is right for you.

Questions about Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

A simple blood test can determine your testosterone level. This can be done at most laboratories.

Yes, but TRT can have side effects including acne, lower sperm count, shrunken testicles, increased risk of blood clots, and increased risk of heart attack and stroke.

Yes, if you have ED due to low testosterone, TRT can help restore your ability to have healthy erections and your sex drive.

We will measure your testosterone levels 3 and 6 months after treatment begins. If your levels are okay, we’ll keep the current dose. If too low, your dosage can be adjusted.

TRT is a lifelong treatment, as symptoms of Low T may return if you stop taking it.

You may feel a mild pinch or sting when the IV is administered, but sessions are very comfortable.
